How to Use These Images
These virtual machine images are designed for use with UTM, a virtual machine manager for macOS and iOS.
Installation Instructions:
- Download the desired VM image from the links above
- Extract the .zip file to get the .utm package
- Open the .utm file with UTM
- If you're on iOS, you can AirDrop the .utm file or download from your device and open from the Files app
- Check the Details page for login credentials and specific instructions for each VM
System Requirements:
- For ARM64 images: Apple Silicon Mac or iOS device (recommended)
- For x64 images: Intel Mac or Apple Silicon Mac (with reduced performance)
- UTM installed (available from mac.getutm.app)
RAM Recommendations:
For macOS, allocate at least 50% of installed RAM for maximum performance. For iOS, use around 20% of the device RAM (any more and iOS will terminate UTM). To set the RAM size, open the VM settings and browse to System.
Important:
Be sure to check the Details page for each VM to get login credentials and specific instructions or known issues.
